Best Time to Visit Manimahesh Kailash
The best time to undertake Manimahesh Kailash Yatra is from May to October.
May – June: Pleasant weather, fewer crowds, scenic snow views
July – August: Green valleys and flowing waterfalls (light monsoon)
August – September: Peak pilgrimage season during Krishna Janmashtami & Radha Ashtami
October: Clear skies, cold nights, ideal for experienced trekkers
Winter months are not recommended due to heavy snowfall and route closure.

Chamba, Khajjiar and Bharmour Tour Itinerary
Pathankot to Bharmour – approx. 180 km
Amritsar to Bharmour – approx. 265 km
Altitude: Bharmour – 2,195 meters
Arrive at Pathankot Railway Station or Amritsar Airport, where our representative will welcome you. From here, begin a scenic drive to Bharmour, the ancient capital of Chamba district.
The journey passes through beautiful mountain roads, rivers, pine forests, waterfalls, and traditional Himachali villages, offering a refreshing introduction to the Himalayas.
After reaching Bharmour and freshening up, proceed for the sacred visit to:
Brahmani Mata Temple (8 KM Trek – Round Trip)
The Brahmani Mata Temple holds immense importance in the Manimahesh pilgrimage. According to local belief, no yatra to Manimahesh is considered complete without first bathing in the holy pool of Goddess Brahmani Mata.
It is believed that Lord Shiva granted a boon that every pilgrim must take a holy dip here before proceeding to Manimahesh Kailash, otherwise the pilgrimage would not be accepted.
After darshan and holy bath, return to Bharmour.

From Hadsar, begin the 7 km trek to Dhancho, walking alongside the roaring Budhil River. The trail includes wooden bridges, rocky paths, waterfalls, and steep climbs. During yatra season, tea stalls and langars are available on the route.
Reach Dhancho by afternoon, have lunch, and relax amidst scenic surroundings and waterfalls.
Overnight Stay: Dhancho (Camp Stay)
Meals: Breakfast + Lunch + Dinner
The trail becomes steeper and more challenging, passing through rocky terrain and snow patches (depending on season). Despite the physical challenge, the spiritual energy of the route keeps devotees motivated.
Manimahesh Lake Darshan
Reach the holy lake located at 4,080 meters. Pilgrims perform parikrama, prayers, and sacred rituals. The reflection of Manimahesh Kailash Peak in the lake creates a divine atmosphere.
After darshan, proceed to Gauri Kund, believed to be the bathing place of Goddess Parvati.
Overnight Stay: Gauri Kund
Meals: Breakfast + Packed Lunch + Dinner
On reaching Hadsar, drive back to Bharmour. After rest, enjoy local sightseeing on foot:
